Observed Obsession is an exploration into the subconscious, aiming to draw out relationships between the chaos of subject matter the populates one’s dreams. It does this by juxtaposing various levels of content, from the characters from books to people from real life. In this way it reflects the nature of dreams, combing all elements of life into what is perceived as a singular narrative of disjointed and transfigured experiences. Observed Obsession highlights this nature, so often disregarded, and instead asks that we consider dreams as a place where all our experiences can interact and exchange without resistance.
People's Choice in the RQAS Young Artist Award 2016.
